Marvel Announces David Jonsson as the New Black Panther

Marvel Studios has officially announced that David Jonsson will take on the mantle of the next Black Panther in Black Panther 3. The announcement was made during Marvel's Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, where director Ryan Coogler introduced Jonsson as the actor who will portray Prince T'Challa II, the adult son of the late King T'Challa.

Known for his acclaimed performances in Industry, Rye Lane, and Alien: Romulus, Jonsson now steps into one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most iconic roles. Rather than replacing Chadwick Boseman's beloved T'Challa, the new film will continue the character's legacy through the next generation of Wakanda.

Black Panther 3 is directed by Ryan Coogler and is currently scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 15, 2028. Fans around the world are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Wakanda's story.
